The device is powered by a 30 W solar panel, and a lead-acid battery, which allow it to purify 100 gallons of water a day, enough for a small community.

This device is inexpensive compared to the large amount of water, 100 gallons,  it can be used to purify, with the materials costing about 200$.

The device is easily usable, requiring only a switch to be pressed and water to be poured down a funnel for it to be purified.
